Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook your noodles. Drain and set aside.
12 ounces macaroni noodles
While the noodles are cooking, heat a large skillet (12"+) over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil then the diced onion. Saute until soft.
1 Tablespoon olive oil,
1/4 cup onion
Add the ground sirloin, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, Montreal steak seasoning, and garlic. Break apart the meat and cook until no longer pink.
1 pound ground sirloin,
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce,
1 teaspoon salt,
1 teaspoon pepper,
1 teaspoon Montreal Steak seasoning,
1 teaspoon minced garlic
Add in the ketchup, mustard, diced tomatoes, and 1.5 cups of the shredded cheese. Stir together until fully combined.
1/3 cup ketchup,
2 Tablespoons mustard,
28 ounces diced tomatoes,
2 cups cheddar cheese
Pour in the cooked noodles and stir to combine.
Sprinkle the rest of the cheese over the top, cover with a lid, and turn heat to low. Once the cheese is melted, it's ready to serve.
Notes
This skillet dish has a casserole vibe, so it freezes well—assemble as directed and store in a 9x13 freezer-safe dish, tightly wrapped.
Optional toppings - diced dill pickles, diced onions, sautéed mushrooms, bacon - whatever you like to put on your cheeseburgers!
To reheat, thaw in the fridge overnight, then bake at 350°F for 20–30 minutes. If baking straight from frozen, plan for about an hour.
Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 4 days.
